Bathroom wallpaper and wall murals are an increasingly popular way to bring personality and atmosphere into bathroom interiors. Instead of plain painted walls, wallpaper allows you to introduce colour, texture, and artistic design, transforming a bathroom into a space that feels more considered and visually inspiring.
Designs such as nature-inspired landscapes, calming abstract patterns, and subtle textured wallpapers work particularly well in bathrooms. These styles can create a spa-like atmosphere that encourages relaxation while adding depth and character to the space. Bathroom wall murals can also create a striking feature wall, turning a simple bathroom into a more distinctive interior.
Choosing the right wallpaper material is especially important in bathrooms due to humidity and occasional splashes. Our breathable wallpaper materials can work well in bathrooms with good ventilation, while more durable vinyl wallcoverings offer additional protection and washability where needed. Selecting the appropriate wallcovering helps ensure the wallpaper performs well and maintains its appearance over time.
Bathroom wallpaper and wall murals can be used in a wide range of interiors, from compact guest bathrooms to large master bathrooms and spa-inspired spaces. With the right design and material, wallpaper can transform a practical room into a calm and beautifully designed environment.

Wallpaper in bathrooms can be protected by choosing the right wallcovering material for the environment. In well-ventilated spaces, breathable wallpapers can perform well, while vinyl wallcoverings provide extra durability and washability where needed. For additional protection against moisture and splashes, a decorator’s varnish can be applied over the wallpaper surface. This helps create a protective layer that can extend the lifespan of the wallpaper in humid spaces.
Bathroom wallpaper can be cleaned gently to keep it looking fresh over time. Dust can be removed with a soft cloth, while light marks can usually be wiped away with a slightly damp cloth.
Washable materials such as vinyl wallpaper are particularly suitable for bathrooms because they can be wiped clean more easily. Easy-hang wallpaper can also be wiped gently if needed.
For additional protection, a decorator’s varnish can be applied to wallpaper surfaces. This protective layer can help protect bathroom wallpaper and wall murals from moisture, splashes, and everyday marks.
Wallpaper is not recommended inside a shower cubicle where it is exposed to direct water contact. Even durable wallpaper materials and all glues will struggle in areas that are frequently soaked with water.

How to measure your wall
Measuring your walls correctly helps ensure a perfect fit for your new wallpaper.
Tip: We recommend adding 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) to both the height and width. This allows flexibility during installation.
Standard wall
Measure the full height and width of the wall you want to cover. It’s always a good idea to measure more than once to make sure your numbers are correct. Only include the area that will be covered by wallpaper, and do not include skirting boards or coving.
Multiple walls
If your wallpaper will continue across more than one wall, measure the width of each wall and add them together. Use the total width when placing your order. There’s no need to order the wallpaper separately for each wall. We recommend that you add 10 cm / 4 inches to the overall width to ensure you’ll have some extra material for the corner.
Sloped walls
When measuring a wall with a slope, take the measurement from the longest height and the widest width of the wall, and ignore the sloped edge. Your wallpaper will be printed as a full rectangle, and the sloped section can be trimmed during installation.
Pitched walls
For walls with two slanted sides, measure the maximum height and the maximum width of the wall. We will produce your wallpaper as a rectangle, and any angled areas can be trimmed away during installation.
Walls with obstacles
If your wall includes a door, window, or other obstacle, measure the full width and height of the wall. You can cut around the obstacle during installation. If you’d like, you can send us a photo or sketch with measurements and we can provide a preview that includes the obstacles.
Staircases
For staircase walls, measure the widest point and the tallest point of the wall, ignoring the slope. Any extra material will be trimmed during installation.
