Paul Smith’s amazing pink store in LA
The LA outlet was designed by Paul Smith, as are all Paul Smith Stores. He decided to make it stand out to motorists, as no one walks in LA. They created a box, and painted it in a colour inspired by Luis Barragán.

Constructed from the modernist architecture and colour blocks that made him famous, Luis Barragán’s Cuadra San Cristobal is a triumph of modernism and geometry, mixed with earthy tones sensitive to the building’s context.
These buildings in India inspired Ettore Sottsass to launch the Memphis Group movement.
These homes are in the village of Tirunamavalai in South India, where homes dating as far back as the 1940s have been brightly painted. Sottsass visited the village several times and was inspired by the imagination and energy of these facades.
