The guest room was designed to fulfil the demands of the Digital Avant-Garde, a new demographic of hotel guest: creative, non-conformist travellers in constant search of new encounters, culture, knowledge and inspiration. The concept was designed to fulfil the needs of guests looking to exchange ideas, skills and experiences with likeminded people in a communal environment, while shifting the focus away from the space itself.
Gensler wanted to create “a setting that actively encourages the collision of guests, locals, skills, crafts and ideas”. The concept for this community-focused hotel is divided into five modules, with the shower module decorated in our Ninjafish wallpaper. Ninjafish wallpaper designed by Paul Meates, an inspiring creative himself, reflects the experimental nature of a vibrant and diverse community that the space was designed to accomodate.
