We have once again collaborated with Kiki Slaughter to create a new abstract wallpaper and wall mural, Dreamboat.
The new design, Dreamboat, has been painted in a palette of muted blues and soft pastels. The Dreamboat wallpaper and wall mural display the experimental, organic and textural nature of Slaughter’s art. Dreamboat was painted with oil and acrylics on canvas and demonstrates Slaughter’s process of pouring, scraping, layering and otherwise manipulating paint on the canvas.

“My work is an experiment with the fundamental process of painting. I pour, scrape, layer and otherwise manipulate paint on the canvas to create pieces that are rich in both color and texture. I paint very much in the moment, with little consideration of anything but the paint and painting in front of me. It is a controlled freedom. I am always painting away in my studio. I usually have around 20 pieces in the works at all times.” – Kiki Slaughter

Originally from Charlottesville, VA Kiki Slaughter currently lives and works in Atlanta, GA, USA. The abstract artist works from her crumbling studio in a 19th century cotton gin factory. Her work is as an experiment with the fundamental process of painting, her method is also her muse. Dreamboat is the second design we have created in collaboration with Kiki Slaughter, following the success of Oh La La wallpaper.
