We’ve just got back from South Korea, where we were thrilled to be part of the Finland Lifestyle & Design Fair. Exhibiting alongside 16 other fashion, home and interior brands in the trendy Gangnam area of Seoul, it was a whirlwind of design, decor and exciting new introductions.
The first two days involved B2B meetings with potential new buyers, distributors, importers and media from around the area. The following days we were busy showing FEATHR fabrics, wallpapers and cushions to over 600 visitors, in a venue decorated in the style of Finnish homes. The design-loving locals we met all shared a passion for Nordic design, as the demand is high in South Korea in general.

Our wallpapers and recently launched fabrics and cushion ranges were met with a really positive reception – our newest chair collaboration with Scandinavian seating brand RBM also featured. Wallpapers on display included Oh La La and English Rose, and cushions designed by Finnish artists Reeta Ek and Anna Alanko were scattered about the venue. Baltic Sea and La Cueillette were just a couple of our selection of luxury fabrics generating interest at the stand.

Finland Lifestyle & Design Fair also created a buzz on social media, with local fashion and design magazines in attendance. Instagram videos from popular magazines Maison Korea and Instyle Korea added to the hype around the event.

The time flew by and before we knew it we were back on home soil. With a couple of exciting new projects in the pipeline involving local fashion and design media, and introductions to potential new retailers…watch this space!
