Hallway wallpaper and wall murals are a powerful way to transform entrances, corridors, and stairways into beautifully designed spaces. As one of the first areas people see when entering a home, hallway walls play an important role in creating a strong first impression. The right wallpaper or wall mural can introduce colour, texture, and artistic detail while setting the tone for the rest of the interior.
Hallway wallpaper works particularly well in narrow spaces where thoughtful design can add depth and visual interest. Vertical patterns can help emphasise height, while lighter colours can make smaller hallways feel more open and spacious. For a more striking effect, hallway wall murals can turn a simple corridor into a dramatic feature by introducing large-scale artwork or immersive landscapes.

Hallway wallpaper and wall murals can transform entrances, corridors, and stairways into beautifully designed spaces. As one of the first areas people see when entering a home, the hallway sets the tone for the rest of the interior. The right wallpaper or wall mural can introduce colour, texture, and artistic detail while creating a memorable first impression.
In narrow hallways, lighter wallpaper colours can help make the space feel brighter and more open. Soft neutrals, ombre wallpapers, and plaster-effect designs work well to reflect light and create a more spacious feeling. Vertical patterns and striped wallpapers can also help emphasise height, making lower ceilings appear taller.
Different wallpaper styles can create very different hallway atmospheres. Botanical and nature-inspired wallpapers can bring a fresh and welcoming feel, while abstract wallpapers introduce a more contemporary and artistic look. Textured wallpapers such as linen, stucco, or marble effects provide a refined backdrop that works well in modern interiors. For a more dramatic statement, large-scale wall murals can add depth and turn a simple corridor into a striking design feature.
Hallway wallpaper also works beautifully alongside mirrors, lighting, and decorative furniture such as consoles or benches. Combining thoughtful lighting with contemporary wallpaper or artistic murals can highlight the design and bring warmth and character to what is often a transitional space. With the right design approach, hallway wallpaper can turn a functional corridor into an important part of the home’s overall interior style.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This depends on the size of the hallway and the design you want to create. In smaller hallways, a single feature wall or a mural at the end of the corridor can add interest without overwhelming the space. In larger hallways or entrance areas, wallpaper across all walls can create a more immersive and cohesive look.
Geometric wallpaper for modern hallway interiors and striped wallpaper for narrow spaces are popular choices. Floral wallpaper or chinoiserie wallpaper can create more decorative entrance spaces, while abstract wall murals can create striking hallway feature walls.
Lighter wallpaper colours often work well in hallways because they help reflect light and make narrow spaces feel more open. Shades such as soft neutrals, light greys, warm creams, and muted pastels can brighten a corridor and create a welcoming entrance. Darker colours can also work beautifully in larger hallways, adding depth and a more dramatic atmosphere.
Hallways often experience more traffic than other areas of the home, so choosing a durable wallpaper material is important. Easy-hang wallpaper works well in many residential spaces and is simple to install and remove when redecorating. For busy households or high-traffic spaces, vinyl wallcoverings can provide extra durability and are easier to clean.
Most FEATHR wallpaper and wall mural designs are printed with UL GREENGUARD GOLD-certified inks that meet low-emission standards for indoor environments. Most FEATHR wallpapers are produced in solar-powered factory. For commercial projects, PVC-free contract-grade vinyl wallcovering materials are available.

How to measure your wall
Measuring your walls correctly helps ensure a perfect fit for your new wallpaper.
Tip: We recommend adding 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) to both the height and width. This allows flexibility during installation.
Standard wall
Measure the full height and width of the wall you want to cover. It’s always a good idea to measure more than once to make sure your numbers are correct. Only include the area that will be covered by wallpaper, and do not include skirting boards or coving.
Multiple walls
If your wallpaper will continue across more than one wall, measure the width of each wall and add them together. Use the total width when placing your order. There’s no need to order the wallpaper separately for each wall. We recommend that you add 10 cm / 4 inches to the overall width to ensure you’ll have some extra material for the corner.
Sloped walls
When measuring a wall with a slope, take the measurement from the longest height and the widest width of the wall, and ignore the sloped edge. Your wallpaper will be printed as a full rectangle, and the sloped section can be trimmed during installation.
Pitched walls
For walls with two slanted sides, measure the maximum height and the maximum width of the wall. We will produce your wallpaper as a rectangle, and any angled areas can be trimmed away during installation.
Walls with obstacles
If your wall includes a door, window, or other obstacle, measure the full width and height of the wall. You can cut around the obstacle during installation. If you’d like, you can send us a photo or sketch with measurements and we can provide a preview that includes the obstacles.
Staircases
For staircase walls, measure the widest point and the tallest point of the wall, ignoring the slope. Any extra material will be trimmed during installation.
