I love to use abstract shapes and colours inspired by vintage commercial design, printmaking and knitwear. I think Mid-Century design will always make a home look beautiful. I also find inspiration in wonderful typography; unexpected patterns and colours in everyday life; and travels around England, Scotland, Sweden, and places with snow and mountains. I discovered printmaking at Aberystwyth University and made my own screen printed wallpaper. I then studied graphic design and surface pattern design, and realised there are so many great ways to fill the world with beautiful art. And wallpaper is an excellent place to start.
