In Victory over Ignorance, the ochre bars of this red stripe wallpaper are used to recall the metal slats of the border wall between the USA and Mexico. The stripes are set against a rich tangle of flora and fauna, with the trompe l’oeil effect and interaction between the stripes and florals brings the viewer to question what is restrained and what is free, and where real power lies.
